LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE & ACHIEVEMENTS:

  • The Sanders Family Team: Married to college sweetheart, Jen, and father to two sons, Hayden and Dean  
  • BUILD Coaching Company: Joined in 2020, Founder of the Disciplined Dads Coaching Program 
  • Dad’s Toolbelt: Author of a monthly message for parents where experiences – both successful and challenging – from family, friends, and clients are shared 
  • Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia: Served on community advisory board, current secretary, 2023 vice president, 2024 President. Recipient of the “Father Figure” Award in 2020.
  • Co-Founder of Readers to Leaders Non-Profit: In a cooperative effort with Jen, Readers to Leaders was created to improve childhood literacy in areas that have been identified as book deserts, where reading and literacy are not a statistically high priority
  • The Sanders Group of Hometown Realty: Established in 2015, Team Leader for four agents and two coordinators
  • Hometown Realty: Junior Partner, Instructor, Treat People the Way You Want to be Treated Award 
  • Longwood University: Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity Secretary, Sergeant-at-Arms, Vice President, Postulant Educator,  Men’s Rugby President/Co-CaptainUILD

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS
Be respectful in what you say, kind in what you do: do unto others as you would have them done to you.
Listen to understand, not to reply: with a little curiosity, your limit’s the sky.
Days will be long, sometimes you’ll be tired: to whom much is given, much is required.
You’re confident, you’re smart, you’re driven, although: those are just words, you’ll reap what you sow.
Lead by example, be generous, have fun: make those around you better, that’s how it’s done.
Life can be tough, sometimes you’ll want to stop, but when climbing a mountain, think of the view from the top!
